UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – The war is so on when two sororities battle it out for the coveted Tri-Crown Prize in the hilariously vindictive SORORITY WARS debuting on DVD August 17 from Vivendi Entertainment and RHI Entertainment. Directed by James Hayman, executive producer of TV’s “Ugly Betty” and “Joan of Arcadia,” the cleverly catty film stars Lucy Hale (“Pretty Little Liars,” Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2), Courtney Thorne-Smith (“According to Jim,” “Ally McBeal”), Faith Ford (“Hope & Faith,” “Murphy Brown”), and Amanda Schull (“One Tree Hill,” Center Stage). SORORITY WARS follows Katie (Hale), a college freshman who has been groomed from birth to continue her mother's (Thorne-Smith) legacy by joining the Delta house. An all-out rivalry begins when Katie has doubts about the Deltas and decides to pledge their rival, the Kappas, creating a fight-to-the-finish competition that leaves only one question: who will come out on top? Just in time to join the back-to-school “rush” this fall, the SORORITY WARS DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.93. Synopsis: When beautiful and smart college freshman Katie Parker enters into pledge week on campus, she’s a shoe-in for the popular Deltas—the beloved sorority house co-founded by her own mother years ago. But when Katie opts for the less popular, but more down-to-earth, Kappas, she becomes a campus pariah and a major disappointment to her disillusioned mother. This ignites an all-out sorority war for the annual and much coveted Tri-Crown Prize.
