UNIVERSAL CITY, CA -- February 8, 2010 -- Get ready for a carnival freak show that will leave the crowd screaming when Carny slashes its way onto DVD March 23 from Vivendi Entertainment and RHI Entertainment. When a travelling carnival makes a stop in the small town of Reliance, Nebraska, the local townspeople eagerly await the debut of the rarely seen unimaginable Jersey Devil.  When the beast is unveiled and goes wild, tearing through the panic-stricken patrons in a violent, feral rampage, the local sheriff joins the carnival’s lovely clairvoyant and sets out to capture the carnivorous fugitive.  As the hunter and the hunted cross paths, the blood bath continues and hellfire will be ignited in the shadow of the beast.  The latest installment in the “Maneater Series,” the Syfy Channel original movie features Lou Diamond Phillips (“Stargate: Universe”), Alan C. Peterson (Shooter) and Vlasta Vrana (The Last Templar).  Carny, will be available for the suggested retail price of $14.93. 

Synopsis:

When a traveling carnival comes to a rural Nebraska town, the caged attraction everyone is talking about is the alleged Jersey Devil.  When the beast escapes, tearing the citizens to shreds, local sheriff Sam Atlas steps up to form a tracking team.
